Accessibility Statement

Helix Painting wants everyone to be able to use helixpainting.com, including people with disabilities. We design and build this website with accessibility in mind, and we keep improving it.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.

We believe this website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conforms means some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are working on those parts and welcome your feedback.

• Pages use real headings and landmarks, and a skip link, so screen reader and keyboard users can move around quickly.
• Meaningful images have text alternatives.
• Menus, links, buttons and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Form fields have labels, and errors are explained in text.
• Animations, smooth scrolling and the homepage video respect the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
• We test key pages with automated tools and by hand with a keyboard.

This site includes an optional accessibility menu, opened with the Accessibility tab on the left edge of the screen. It lets you enlarge text, add spacing, switch to a more readable font, change contrast or color saturation, highlight links and headings, use a reading guide, stop animations, enlarge the cursor, strengthen focus outlines, have text read aloud, and jump to any section of the page.

Your choices are saved only in your browser on this device. We do not collect them. The menu is a convenience: it is not how this site meets accessibility standards, and it does not replace the screen reader, magnifier or other assistive technology you already use.

• Zoom in or out with Ctrl and + or - (Cmd on a Mac).
• Reader view in Safari, Firefox and Edge shows a page as plain, resizable text.
• Your device's settings can enlarge text, increase contrast, reduce motion, or turn on a screen reader such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA or JAWS.

The W3C's Better Web Browsing guide explains these settings for every major browser.

Some content on this site comes from other companies, such as the chat assistant, embedded maps, review links and the Calendly booking calendars. We choose accessible providers where we can, but we can't fully control their content. If any of it doesn't work for you, contact us and we'll help another way.

Parts of the site we are still working on:

• Some green buttons and some small gray text are lighter than the color contrast the standard asks for.
• The video behind the homepage headline loops without a pause button. It stays still if your device is set to reduce motion, or if you turn on Stop animations in the accessibility menu.
• On the service pages, the titles inside the tappable feature cards are read out as part of the button rather than as headings.

This site is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and with common screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS.
